Better Late Than Never!!!! Xmas in Washington

We went to Washington for the first two weeks in December. There is a butcher shop in WA and Joe took us there. I believe this is nearby and Steven and his family fished here when he was little.
haha! This was at a casino. It was soooo cold that the fountain froze over and we thought it looked pretty cool so we pulled over to take some pictures all cozied up together.

Jackson was so small in this picture. I don't have any pictures of he and I up so I decided that since this was officially during the trip I would throw it in. I love this little man soooo much...I can't believe I lived so long without him.
This one of Steven's favorite uncles on the Bravo side. Well he loves them all but I think Uncle Mike was really cool to him as he grew up. Steven couldn't wait for him to meet him. We had such a blast hanging out and catching up.
Jackson just loves his Grandmas. I was sooo thankful that Val was so willing to spend so much time with him!!! I was in so much pain for a lot of the trip and she swept right in and took care of him all night a few nights. This was after his baby blessing at Val and Joe's house. I had to get a pick of Great Grandma and Grandma together.
She just loves him so much. She held him for as long as she could and he loved every minute of it. We are so fortunate to have such loving family!!! Oh how we love Great Grandma
This was hilarious. Elliana wanted to kiss and hug Jackson all day long. This seriously was over about a 40 minute period of time. She would leave and come back and go back and forth back and forth. Jackson didn't mind it much either.

Aunt Cindy got quite the kick out of it too. She was the mediator for most of it.

I love this picture. This is Steven and his older sister Desire with and E. haha. What good lookers they are!!! We spent more time with his siblings this trip than any other and it was so much fun. We are looking forward to doing it again soon.
This may be one of the sweetest women I have ever met in my entire life. She is such a great example and always gives us honest advice. It was so much fun to spend time at their house. Lucky us they invite us to stay there everytime we got to WA. Jackson couldn't get enough of her. And lucky for him the feeling was mutual. I loved being there for the Christmas season. We didn't actually get to spend Christmas with them but we celebrated all the same.
They must be having a serious conversation. I couldn't tell ya. I was too busy snapping away.

The day after we arrived in WA Steven couldn't wait to go show the baby off to his Grandma and Grandpa so we took a trip to their house and hung out for a while. About every couple of weeks I hear about their awesome cheese cutter and how he wants to find one soooo badly. The silly things we remember.

Washington

We had a great time!! It is so fun to introduce family to new babies! It was a much needed, long awaited trip. Jackson did amazing on the flights, the stewardesses were oohing and awwing over him most of the time.
Some sad things happened a day or two into our trip. Four of the local police officers were shot and killed while having coffee before their shifts. Thankfully, they caught the man (he actually got shot and died) but he was coming at another officer days later.
All in all it was a great trip, minus my urgent care and ER visits due to four little kidney stones.

Val did a photo shoot with the black teddy bear.

This is Jackson all day every day. Huge grins and a lot of loud baby talk
This proves he is his father's son!! I couldn't get a decent picture of Steve to save my life, when I finally get one that is half way decent...little man throws a tongue in there. GO FIGURE!!!

Take 1

Take 2

Take 3

Take 4 (There were a few more...but you get the idea.)

Handsome boy!

Taking a nap with his new bestie..Winkolina. She is part of the Ugly Doll family and he quite fancies her.
I had to throw the last two pictures in. They were too hilarious not too. Thanks to my cousins Nancy and Robbie we received a bunch of awesome clothes for Jackson. This little snow suit was one of the many, Jackson hated it but it got the job done. He would only tolerate it long enough to get to the car. We tried buckling him in the carseat with it on...but as you can see he can't do anything with his little arms.

Green Milk...

So a few posts back I told you all about stepping a thorn...well the antibiotics that I had to take did this to my milk....nasty. I couldn't believe I was producing a greenish blue milk that was (too much info!!) kind of thick. haha. I had to share, I couldn't believe my eyes!!

The house is mostly packed so that we can move out on the 12th of December, we are packed--it is amazing how different it is packing when you have a baby!!!! I promise to charge my battery this time so that I have more than 1 picture from vacation! I will post more once we get settled in to our new place....it may take a little while. Bye for now!!

Getting so big!!

big and strong just like daddy
Jackson doesn't look amused here. He is getting so big I can hardly believe it! He can almost sit up all by himself. He likes to sit by himself in the chair. He is crazy ticklish on his thighs, hip bones, belly, armpits, and neck. Basically all over. You don't even have to tickle just holding himcertain way makes him laugh. I love him so much! He has the best belly laugh of any baby!

JACKSON LAUGHED A BELLY LAUGH FOR THE FIRST TIME. I absolutely love those.

Bouganvillea Thorn

The house we are renting has two bouganvillea bushes out front. During the summer they grow like weeds...I actually think they are weeds, but that is just my opinion. So my amazing husband does the work on the outside and he never asks for help and I love him for that because I am not really a fan of pruning bushes. I love to garden but I am afraid I will butcher a bush so I stay away from that area. Anyway, last Sunday (11-8-09) I ran outside barefoot really quick. I thought I saw one of our old dogs...crazy I know but I went out barefoot and Steven accidentally missed one of the little branches that he trimmed and I stepped on it. If you aren't familiar with these bushes they have incredible long thorns...it was like 1/2 an inch and it was stuck all the way in. I couldn't move to pull it out because the branch was kind of long. Steven came out and pulled it out for me and then the rest of the day it was so sensitive. I put a shoe on and pulled the laces really tight because it seemed to make it feel better. Well, Monday I could barely put pressure on it. I did some research online and I guess the thorns have toxins in them and some people had to have part of their legs removed because they got nasty infections from these thorns. So I watched it and Tuesday my joints in my foot were super tender to bend and I had a spot on the top of my foot that was warm to the touch and red about the size of a silver dollar. Steven was getting on me to go to the doctor so Wednesday I tried but it was Veteran's day so I went to Urgent Care and sure enough...I have an infection. So I have to take 10 days worth of a very strong antibiotic and I am not aloud to breastfeed :( I have to pump and dump. So I have a few pics of Jackson holding his own bottle!! He couldn't have regular formula it hurt his tummy to bad so we have him on soy. Stinky stuff!
