21 weeks and 6 days

It is official. I have a belly. I didn't really realize that it looked so pregnant until Sunday when I put on my dress. Today I am 22 weeks but the picture was taken yesterday. I can now feel him move all the time. He really likes to kick around when I lay certain ways and he won't stop until I move. I told Steven about him not liking me to lay certain ways and Steven said I better listen to him or when we have him he is going to be angry at me for the first few months. Steven cracks me up. I wish all of our family could be around us while we are going through our first pregnancy. Looking back on the questions he and I have asked people around us who have kids we laugh pretty hard. Oh, and Steven is hilarious about the whole thing. Everyday he has some kind of bizarre thing to ask or tell me about pregnancy. I love him. We are having a lot of fun with the idea of it all, in just a few short months it won't be an idea anymore. Well, here is my big ol belly.

Serving the Missionaries

I love to sign up to feed the missionaries when I can. About a month ago I signed up to feed the missionaries and last week that day came. Little did I know that I was going to have to work. So I threw a roast in the pressure cooker and left my sweet husband step by step directions on how to make gravy. I left rice on the counter and everything he would need.

Usually in Az when you sign up to feed the missionaries you feed two. I guess over here in Texas you feed 4, which is great. I'm just glad that I had a 6.5lb roast. I baked 2 loaves homemade bread that none of the missionaries thought was homemade because it was so "pretty". I had to take a picture so that everyone in Az would believe that one. The point is that when I got home there were two slices of meat left and 1/2 a loaf of bread. Here is my pretty bread.

We are destined to be out numbered...

So bright an early this morning, Steven and I had an ultrasound appointment. This is the profile of the little guy. Yes that is right...I said guy. We found out today that we are having a little boy. Now as the little ones in family go. We have 7 boys and 1 girl. I was hoping to break the cycle but I am still just as happy as can be. He was in an awfully awkward position...the doctor had me get up to walk and do a little dance and he finally flipped over. So far everything looks healthy. I have to admit. I always knew it was going to be a boy. He has starting moving around and I can feel him. It's pretty awesome. I have another appointment at 1:30 today.

It's Raining...It's Pouring.

The last three days have been so eventful! I am zonked, plus the weather is insane. It has been so crude outside, our poor dogs just realized that it will probably be a few more days before they are dry. Thankfully the greatest dad in the world built a shelter for them before he left and they are loving their little dry spot. So in the past 3 days it has been freezing and the rain has been non-stop. I thought someone was breaking in the other night but it was just the crazy wind and thunder. The rain is nothing like the rain in Arizona, usually the rain in AZ is kind of warm and the wind is warm too. Here in Texas the rain feels like ice cubes...especially when the hit the back of your neck! To top off the insane freeze of the rain the wind is quite crisp as well. It is okay though. We just get more time to snuggle : ) Here is a pic of the rain that was accidentally caught in our scorpion cup. Hope all is well. Stay warm!
